Air Canada Announces Daily Non-Stop Flights Kelowna-Toronto

Sun, 17/07/2005 - 11:00 pm

Big White and Silver Star Resorts are thrilled with the announcement from Air Canada of new, daily non-stop flights between Kelowna and Toronto.

Effective February 4, 2006, Air Canada will increase service to offer daily non-stop flights using 93-seat Embraer 190 aircraft.

With the renewal of Air Canada's North American fleet, they now have the right-sized aircraft to be able to offer daily service into Kelowna from Toronto. The Embraer-190 aircraft is brand new, and will be configured with 9 Executive Class and 84 Hospitality seats (total 93). The Embraer 190 has a cruising speed of 854 Km/h and a range of up to 4,100 km with a max payload of 12,720 kg. This means there is lot of room for ski & snowboard equipment for winter guests and mountain bikes and golf clubs for summer visitors.

The flight will depart from Toronto at 9:45am and arrive in Kelowna at 11:25am. Just imagine being able to ski or snowboard the same day when you arrive at one of our world famous Okanagan Resorts. This announcement is also a big boost to Big White & Silver Star making the two world-class resorts the closest Western Canadian resorts to those flying out of Toronto. The aircraft departs Kelowna at 12:10pm and arrives back in Toronto at 7:15pm.

If you need more information about these new flights and additional services announced today, it can be found on Air Canada's website at www.aircanada.com.
